Introduction
Life can be difficult, I am no stranger to this. I work with people to dig into their process - exploring childhood, relationships, patterns of behaviour and shining a light on the shadow side of the psyche so we can fully integrate all of ourselves and ultimately - be who we really are supposed to be in this life time. It’s not my job to judge you, give advice or tell you what to do. The work is collaborative and we’ll go on a journey together. I tend to work medium to long term but we can discuss this in your initial call.

How I work
Everything discussed in the sessions is strictly between the two of us - this is crucial because our relationship is one of trust and, for me this is what underpins all the work we’ll do together. I’ve been qualified as a psychotherapist for over 10 years and throughout that time I’ve gained a good understanding of different theories that can help heal and move things forward. Psychoanalyst Carl Jungs work is a big inspiration- this is all about the unconscious, exploring the psyche and bringing our fears, desires, hopes, hates and all the merky stuff into the light so we don’t have to be ashamed, afraid or worried anymore. We can delve into dreams and their symbolic meanings. Obviously childhood experiences are a huge part of therapy and I can help explore and hold these memories to uncover how things play out now. I am also trained in CBT so we can integrate that into the work if appropriate.
About me
I qualified with a masters in Psychotherapy in 2014 and have also studied shorter courses too like meditation and CBT. Qualifications are great but if you don’t have much self awareness or experience, I don’t think you can truly help people. I went into therapy when I was 25 - about 16 years ago and since then I’ve explored a few different types and lengths of therapy. I haven’t always been a therapist- I worked in fashion, beauty and start-ups both on the creative side and executive level and I’ve met all kinds of people along the way. I find working one to one with people a privilege and incredibly rewarding.

Normally once a week at the same time but I can offer twice weekly sessions in the beginning if you are in crisis or want to work intensively.

Sessions start from £60. I tend to work on a sliding scale. This means that the price you pay for counselling is determined by your income. Those with a higher income pay more and this enables me to offer a few low cost spaces for those who do not earn as much. Please get in touch to discuss this as means shouldn’t be a barrier to therapy

Good question! I tend to work with clients between 3 months to several years. It is an evolving process but we can check in along the way to ensure we are on the same page.
